[ QUOTE ]
VA I hold a couple of whites until after the cashier has counted the chips and put out the cash. Then as I am leaving the window I lay em down (NEVER hand money or chips to a cashier/dealer for you new guys). I have always gotten a thank-you from the cashiers @ Borg. [/ QUOTE ] Why never hand it to them? |

Why never hand it to them? [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure if it is actually illegal for a dealer/cashier to be handed currency by a patron but if it isn't it may as well be. Casinos HATE HATE HATE the idea of patrons handing money to a dealer because it reduces the reliability of what the camera is seeing. |

Re: tipping cashiers in AC poker rooms
Wow, assuming there's no unusual service being rendered, I can't believe that anybody would tip a casino cashier...

Re: tipping cashiers in AC poker rooms
[ QUOTE ]
When I tip the cashier a dollar I usually hear a thank you. [/ QUOTE ] I only tip for service, and a casino cashier is no different than a bank teller, a tollbooth operator or the Wallmart cashier - all a huge gap below the guy who scoops your ice cream cone. But to tip, and then to not hear a "thank you," or an acknowledgement of any kind? That's pretty incredible, and it's a pretty strong indication that the tipping is both unexpected and inappropriate. |
