Well not specifically FTP, but whomever is processing the transactions for them could get into trouble with VISA or MasterCard.

One of the site bosses made a comment in another thread that although obviously the Feds could find out what any one of us can find out, basically they're lazy and wait until information is handed to them on a plate.

So... cash advance fees or what? If you pay your balance completely every month are you still hit with cash advance fees? I've never tried it.

While it is unlikely that the major credit card companies monitor this forum, mentioning specific credit cards here is just plain stupid.

And while I guess getting the word out to poker players that you can try your cards on FT is appropriate, lets at least keep this information amongst ourselves, lest some one we dont like actually does investigate.

Dude, there is nothing the US government can do to prevent this. I believe that Full Tilt uses a processor that has no relation to gambling to process their CC transactions.

How is the government going to be able to stop this? They can't.

No cash advance charges for me. I'm pissed that I've used Epassporte for deposits with their ridiculous fees. I now deposit with my CC and withdraw via Epassporte.

Do you think that the feds can't figure this stuff out without browsing 2p2? If they really cared they would be trying these things out themselves and trying to stop them.

It's not as simple as going Okay let's try it today. Visa, check. Mastercard, check. Well they still don't work, back to the coffee.

There are thousands of banks and groups in America that offer credit cards. At this point it is up to the issuing bank to stop your deposit going through. This is why Podunk Bank Visa works while Bank of America Visa doesn't. Talking about which specific banks and cards are working is just stupid because it makes it incredibly easy for anyone with an axe to grind to get that card to stop working.

And the fact that you are so sure about them not caring about poker and soon legislating and taxing it is disheartening. We're years away from the gov't legalizing and taxing the games.

They see idiots posting "MY PODUNK BANK INC VISA WORKED YIPPEEEE!" and then they call Podunk Bank and tell them "Your cards are being used for illegal gambling. If you do not wish to be prosecuted under the UIGEA you need to bar these transactions."

At which point someone, the bank or the feds makes a test deposit on FTP or wherever to see where the money goes and then the future transactions will be blocked.
