Yes, Coca-Cola should stop advertising, everyone knows them. Why do they waste all that money?

I had a great PR idea for mcdonalds, after watching a wendy's commercial. Mcdonalds releases a series of press releases saying they are switching over to all fresh beef becuase they want to provide the customer with all fresh ingredients, unfortunetly due to the high cost of fresh beef, they are willing to sacrifice profits for quality and will be closing about 30% of their stores, mainly the ones in small town, leaving a lot less mcdonalds everwhere. After the outcry of a bunch of fatties writing letters and campaigning to keep mickey D's on every street corner, the execs decide not too. Thats like a years worth of free publicity, and every commercial could be just some voice over reading the stupid letters that people would write to corporate saying how good mcdoanlds is in its current state.

That if they're sacrificing profits, somehow closing 30% of their stores would help. Also most of their stores are franchises.

the general public believes anything in press releases, as long as there is enough buzz, and it is executed quick enough, people will eat it up.

So I probably wasn't going to see the Simpson's movies in theaters, but the trailer I saw before Transformers made me second guess that decision, mainly due to this clip at the end of the trailer.
