8 full buy-in swings are about as bad as it can get for a winning shorty no? That is 40 mini-buy-ins right? That isn't a common swing...a standard bad run is 3-4 full BI's in my experience - to back to back two of them is harsh - how often does it happen?

Assuming your true win rate is in the 1-2PTBB/100 it's gonna take a while to pull back 800 of em...like 500+ table hours (obv more at lower stakes)

My roll is 15 full buy-ins at the highest stakes I play at the moment ($400). I cashed out 2/3 of my roll post-Frist and just cash down to $6k at the end of each month now.

I'm figuring a $2k downswing is going to happen at some point but against the iPoker $200 and $400 donks (50,000+ hands played, a grand total of one opponent noted as 'may be decent' [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] ) I supect my true win-rate/edge is a lot higher than yours given the much better players you have to cope with.

Also my 50-60%RB is worth more at low stakes so will cushion a fair bit of any blow.

In fact the best thing about being short is the smoothing out of the swings so far as I can tell..

The fact I'm doing it for fun and only 2 hrs a night max probably also helps..
