Briggs-Meyers test? I took that test and was rather bothered with some of my "true" answers. Why am I discussing this? Better, than the original thread.

Re: Why are some 2+2ers such arrogant Prixs
[ QUOTE ]
I don't think $12k is a particularly outrageous beat for 75/150 heads-up. I suspect this type of beat happens quite frequently. [/ QUOTE ] You are right, Bob. I don't think anybody would debate that 80BB is a lot, especially for heads up, and obviously for the $75/$150 game, a $10K swing is just a swing. However, the OP was obviously playing over their usual limit and comfort zone - and lets be honest, for 99.9 % of the posters here, a $12K hit in one session hurts. If that amount is nothing to you guys, that's great, and I salute you. Dogmeat [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

Re: Why are some 2+2ers such arrogant Prixs
I hated it the first time I saw it.
thought it was really stupid (which it is). for some reason I didn't mind it as much at 4am on cable. perhaps because I pretty much knew what I was getting. However, I agree that it's semi-amazing that I played so well after watching that film. It's also possible that I really WAS tilting after the movie...but just happened to win a bunch of pots in my tiltish-aggressiveness. Accidents happen. However, I feel no strong urge to test this theory by establishing a large sample-size where I can evaluate my long-term win-rate of 'poker following a crappy Billy Crystal film.' |

Re: Why are some 2+2ers such arrogant Prixs
Yes. Of course $12k would devastate me.
as was stated previously by me and others....that's why I have never lost $12k (and never will...unless I have such a huge bankroll that I'm actually semi-comfortable with such a loss). |
