Re: I can\'t read the board club
My most embarassing one was when I flopped a set, but I got raised on the river when the board was showing 4 spades. I had no spades.
This was at UB where you can 'fold & show'. I did so, then someone asked me why I folded the full house. I hadn't noticed the board had paired. |

Re: I can\'t read the board club
I had a busted straight mistaken for the nuts in live play once, which I think should be in it's own category.

Re: I can\'t read the board club
well to me at least live play is a bit more difficult, you usually can't see the board as well and there are other things to think about.
also more embarassing though! |

Re: I can\'t read the board club
I folded trips on a AQ9 board w/ pocket 9s thinking I saw an AQ8.

I came into this thread expecting to read stories of others having 20/60 vision and refusing to wear glasses while sitting in the back of class.

Re: I can\'t read the board club
The last time I played live, I was pretty trashed and misread a board of 3 3 4, thinking it was 2 3 4 rainbow, and I had 5 6. I announced to the table that I had flopped the nut straight, then proceeded to cap the flop against unknown villain who I kept asking why are you re-raising? Apparently villain had J 3, and was quite pissed when a 2 came on the turn and he realized I then had the straight, but he still paid me off.

Re: I can\'t read the board club
Two days ago, while semi-tilting after being 3 outed and then 2 outed in successive hands (-150BB), I had 45s...board came 567 rainbow...thinking I flopped the straight I called Maniac Villian's all-in (80BB) re-raise. He had A6o and took down the pot with 66 to my 55 when nothing else hit.
One other time that I can remember, I pushed with the "straight", only to realize it was gapped...villian called and I lost. Online poker is rigged. |

Flashing your cards clearly elevates your story by 3 degrees! NH bro... |
