This is one of the first BBV theads I've read that has legitimately good advice in it. Go in with an open mind and understand that it will probably be a positive experinece, explain to the therapist how you feel about poker and how you feel about how your parents percieve it. Also talk about anything else that bothers you that you don't want to tell anyone else becuase the therapists cannot disclose information to anyone and it will be a good thing for you.

Just say you dont think about poker all the time - have no problem walking away from the game after an hour or two of play - other none degenerate stuff like that.
Also mention you only play poker and see no appeal in gambling on blackjack and other pit games. |

I would imagine that within 15 minutes you'll be done discussing poker and getting into some signifigant issues about your parents.

in this spot rite now... parents have mentioned therapist to me, though luckily subject hasn't come up in a while. Now trying to cash out $12.5k from FTP... that will be an ordeal :-(
