What am I missing here? It seems to me you are asking for trouble by giving your clothes to Company A, only to have them transfer them on to a competitor.
You have a case if Company A signed for the clothes and gave you a claim ticket, and they elected to subcontract the work to Company B, you also would have a case if Company A is a transfer agent for Company B, but as described, neither of these seem to be applicable here. You have no contract with Company A, therefore no claim. Look at it this way, you could have grabbed some dude on the sidewalk and said "hold on to this, someone will be by to pick it up and bring it back later". You have no grounds to pursue either party in that case unless you gave the dude proper consideration and he accepted the terms, or the dude happened to be employed by Company B expressly to perform this type of service. I find for the defendant. |
