Re: I haven\'t made a poll in a while
[ QUOTE ]
The people you are trying to stack don't notice what range you 4-bet pre-flop. [/ QUOTE ] These types of players are going to stack off no matter what I do. Against anyone with even the slightest amount of brain activity you are announcing that you have AA or KK. Which is why I prefer to call and trap. JMO |

Re: I haven\'t made a poll in a while
I am a newer player, but I have been reading 2p2 for approx one month. I chose push in both situations.
We all agree that we make our money off the bad players. I think that the people with some brainwaves going will see another reraise as a stronger hand than the push. Also, if you smooth-call this raise, what if scare cards come to those holding JJ, QQ, Aks, or AKo? I feel the push preflop can also be called by those holding these cards. Now, if you are running cold and the people at the table are new to your playing abilities and your stats shorthanded are 12/2/1 then I am sure that the observant/pokertracker community will give you credit for your big hand and you will take it down. If there are those that disagree, I am sure you will let my newbie a$$ know. EditI was assuming 6max) |

Re: I haven\'t made a poll in a while
All-
I just realized that I did not specify in my OP that this is 6-max, not full ring, my apologies. Does that change anyone's response? |

Re: I haven\'t made a poll in a while
all,
Hero- $100 Villian - $100 Hero- KK all fold, Hero raises to $4, Villian raises to $12,blinds fold, Hero raises to $100, Villian calls $88 with QQ or less? I just can't see this scenario happening often enough. Even really bad players will get away here. JMO |

Re: I haven\'t made a poll in a while
Let me just make sure I have your argument correct. You believe that:
1> They aren't smart enough/paying anough attention to realize a 4bet means AA or KK 2> Are dumb enough to still stick in 100BBs preflop 3> But will suddenly realize they are behind when an overcard flops and not put in any more $ This just doesn't add up. |

Re: I haven\'t made a poll in a while
This poll is worthless. Where is the fold option for kings? I thought this was clearly stated in the FAQ that we should always fold KK when meeting resistance preflop.
