[ QUOTE ] What's the difference between "anarcho-capitalist" and "traditional anarchist"? fwiw, i think i'm both. [/ QUOTE ] A traditional Anarchist does not define the entire world in terms of possessions. [/ QUOTE ] Nor does an ACer. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I'm the only anarchist who isn't a capitalist. [/ QUOTE ] I thought you just said you were a minarchist [/ QUOTE ] You're right. But I'm much more of an anarchist than a statist. So of the options, I'd choose that. [/ QUOTE ] The chasm between anarchy and minarchy is much, much wider than the gap between minarchy and statism. |

And no, AC is constructed through negative rights, so there are no tenets. If you're talking about epistimology, then those aren't tenets either. A simple example, that you could have come up with yourself, is that an ACer does not claim that anyone owns the earth's core, or some area of water or land that's not turned into valuable use. |

Re: Forum Political Identity Poll
[ QUOTE ]
Isn't a social liberal, economic conservative a libertarian? [/ QUOTE ] Libertarians are this to some extent, but not all people who are this are libertarians, as libertarians have opinions on things that don't fit conveniently on the "social liberal, fiscal conservative" scale. Victimless crimes would be the best example. |

Re: Forum Political Identity Poll
socially i'm probably closest to being libertarian, though i would be for some limited social intervention, even for "victimless crimes" for the sake of social order (drunk driving would still be illegal, though i'd want the law changed significantly, some harder drugs might still be illegal, but not much more than that). also, i am strongly against abortion, but because i think the fetus's interest is more worthy of protection than the mother's unless her life is in jeopardy. i definitely wouldn't say i am socially liberal.
economically, i guess i am a big old liberal, though i think fiscal conservatism is important. |

"economically, i guess i am a big old liberal, though i think fiscal conservatism is important. "
What does that mean, welfare state, redistribution, etc is great just don't run deficits? |
