Default Kicked out with a valid ID at Hard Rock - what should I have done?

I have been in Vegas this past weekend and stayed at the Hard Rock. I gambled at several different casinos without issue (did have my ID checked quite a bit as I am 21 and look 16). I didn't run into any real problems at Bally's, Mirage, Hard Rock, or MGM until Saturday evening around 7pm.

I put $100 down at a roulette table and was asked for ID. I presented my ID, which happens to be a temporary license from Alabama, which as it turns out is paper, not plastic. The guy running the roulette table called over someone, who then called over someone else. Ultimately, I was walked over to the cashier where 1 or 2 other people checked the ID and ultimately came to the decision to not allow my money to play in the casino. I was politely asked to leave the casino area. I did not fight the decision, merely rolled my eyes and went back up to my room until the comedy show that I had tickets (and VIP all access that I was wearing around my beck at the time of the incident) started. I'm basically asking for advice on how I should have handles the situation. It will likely never happen again as I have already received my hard plastic license.

Should I have created a little more of a stink since my ID was in fact valid and I was in fact of legal age? I didn't have a passport or anything else to verify my age -- only a university class ring (not many under 21s will have these) and a few other people at the casino that could verify my age by word of mouth.

I was obviously annoyed, but did understand their angle because it did sort of look fake.

What do you guys think? (other than the Hard Rock for being retarded because obv I'm gonna lose my money if I'm playing roulette lol!)
