Because they watch Fox News, which tells them that Fox News is a legitimate news outlet?

Note also: The question asks if the world would be better off, not if the US would be better off. However, the link to the page states "U.S. "Better Off" Losing War?"

If I asked you, "Would the world be better off if everyone in the US distributed their money to other countries?" Would the answer be yes?

They're no more or less fake than say CNN.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, they're more fake.

I will hand it to you that all the other news sources on TV have a decidedly conservative slant, that part's true, but not quite as bad as Fox. And again, nowhere near as dishonest.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, they're mostly quite liberal. Only uberleftists who confuse being pro-corporation with being alligned with either party think otherwise.

No, but if you really do take fox news seriously, especially regarding what Democrats think, you're completely out of your mind.

This isn't an "I don't like them" sort of thing. It's that they're intellectually dishonest, have an agenda, and make no qualms about being completely in your face about said agenda.

[/ QUOTE ]

So you actually believe that being "in your face" about their agenda is worse than covering it up like the rest of the media does?

[/ QUOTE ]

Why do people talk about Fox News as if it were a legitimate new outlet?

[/ QUOTE ]

For the same reason we talk about CNN as if it were a legitimate news outlet. They all suck, but they're what we've got.

Conservative in relation to what?

I guess if you avoid looking at facts that might be true.. But last I read, in the 2000 and 2004 elections, Bush got more favorable coverage on the 'liberal' news outlets than either liberal candidate. Seems rather counterintuitive to be a liberal media outlet and helping a conservative candidate. Oh well, when up is down and Fox is fair and balanced, anything can be true if you just say it!

Except for the part where the opposite is true.

Indeed it would be. Luckily that's not the case!

Oh honey, if it weren't so late, I'd go get all my info proving how you have no idea what you're talking about here. But I'm tired, so I'll have to save it for tomorrow.

.....if the USA lost the war in iraq. so my question is how can 19 percent of democrats (11 percent of the population overall) be so stupid?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm sorry I don't know the answer, but maybe you could help me. What is the United States objective in the war? I'm afraid I don't know, so I wouldn't even be able to recognize if it was met or not. I guess I don't even know what winning the war or losing the war would mean.

After I know what would constitute losing the war maybe I'll be able to help with your question. TIA.
