I don't know where you guys live, but 25/h is more money than 75% of the population makes at their jobs here.

[/ QUOTE ]

That can't be true, I believe median income in the US is in the high 40s which works out to be more than 20/h. It can't be that different in Canada.

As to the discussion of winrate, I think it's a much more profitable idea to concentrate on building your bankroll and moving up and then start viewing poker as an income once you are profitable at a higher level (maybe at least .50/1).

I played 2 tables of 25NL/50NL everyday for the best part of 6 months @ 6 hours per day and made the grand total of $500.

i) I sucked
ii) I never multitabled
iii) I ran like a no legged slug for most of that time including a 30K breakeven stretch.

Forget about making $25/hr at 25NL

Yes it is possible - and some people have and do make more than this. But those people are nuts as their game is plenty good enough to beat $50NL where they could earn almost twice as much...

Learn the game at $25NL - master the basics - don't overdo the table count until you can read hands well and play goot.

I think it's better to play less tables and get to a better standard of play faster move up to $100NL and THEN start earning lots of money.

If you work at it and put in the studytime/forum reading posting time and playing time it ought to take you ~6 months to move from uNL to SSNL.

4 table $100NL at 60 hands an hour at only 5PTBB/100 and you're making $30/hr before you add in Rakeback or bonuses and have the potential to earn way more than that.

Invest the time now - build the roll - and advance up the levels as fast as you can. Poker isn't going anywhere soon it'll still be here complete with plenty of fish a year or more from now.

i play 8 tables of FR NL25 (~450 hands/hour) and make ~$22/hr. but as far as I am cocnerned, no one should be worried about an hourly rate at MicroSNL. start worrying about it at 200NL. until then, worry about improving and moving up.

e-penis time , on party when i was 4-6 tabling nl25 i was making 40/hr w/ rakeback. If you 8 table nl25 and are good/don't run insanely horrible, you could easily make 30 dollars an hour with rakeback+bonuses.

20 big blinds/100 hands is very doable at this level.

[/ QUOTE ]

Please don't confuse people by talking about big blinds/100. Standard is PTBB/100 which is 2x big blinds/100.

10 PTBB/100 is doable, yes. 20 PTBB/100 is not.

20bb/100 is quite high though especially when multi tabling 8. Would be nice though

Ahh yes, the old "I'll quit my job and play 25NL for a living" phase.

Don't bother. Seriously.
