Not to mention that Obama is not even remotely qualified to be president. His resume makes Thompson look like Reagan or Eisenhower.

I find this statement pretty laughable. I guess being a lobbyist for 25 years really prepares you for being president.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Thompson's remotely qualified to be president either.

I just don't think he's any more qualified than Obama. I personally think that Edwards, Obama, Thompson, and Guiliani
are qualified to be president.

So you don't think Gore, Clinton, Paul, or any of the others are?

Srry too late to edit my first post. I meant to say NOT qualified. And by that, I mean if I had to pick who I would want to be running for nomination for president, they would not be who I would choose. I could potentially vote for them if they end of getting the nomination.

I think that Clinton, Richardson, and Gore are qualified on the Democratic side. To be honest I don't a lot about some of those on the Republican side.

Ahh, damnit!! You're right. I tend to always forget those fabricated, unsubstantiated, radical claims. SHOOT, I guess this means it's time to off myself.

I actually think the toughest ticket for the Dems to beat would be Rudy-Newt. And I think Gore-Richardson is easily the Dems best shot. But, people vote for the president. With the rather large exception of LBJ in '60, the VP hardly ever affects the election.

[/ QUOTE ]

ok, considering this thread was discussing a Gore-Obama ticket (in that order), is Obama qualified for vice president and if not, how exactly does one become qualified?

also, why do you think a rudy-newt ticket would be the toughest to beat?
