Just because he's/you're an unclever douchebag, doesn't mean everyone is.

Most of Utah's road dog covers came from 2003 or earlier when they had a different coach and completely different players. From 2004 on, they're 2-3 ATS as a road dog, and in the only remotely similar spot where they actually had to travel across country, they lost to North Carolina by 14 as a 4 point dog.

Longest TD o52.5 yards for Utah/L'ville bet 1.1u to win 1u

Utah has gone over this mark 2 times in 5 games
L'ville has had over 11 TDs of this length in 4 seperate games of the 5 they played

It seems that L'ville is the important factor here with their offensive scheme, defensive blown assignments, and special teams plays.

Darrell Mack o19.5 rush attempts for Utah @ L'Ville bet 1.15u to win 1u

Mack was injured and didn't play the first game, but has seen his time and prominance increase with every game since

Air force 7 for 25
UCLA 19 for 107
UNLV 21 for 89
Utah St 26 for 132

so, he's been healthy for 3 games and over that number twice with an increasing trend

L'Ville's rushing D is very avg...#55 in yarpg and 4.47 ypc... even though their schedule hasn't been very hard (Murray St, Middle Tenn St, Kentucky, Syracuse, NC St)

plus, the Utah scheme will call for lots of Darrell Mack

So, with no obvious flaws in the Louisville offense and an unproven Utah defense on his hands, just how does Whittingham plan to stop the Cardinals' high-power attack?

"I don't know if you try to stop it so much as you try to slow it down," Whittingham said. "You just try to keep it from going crazy on you. The best place for their offense is on the sidelines, so the more time our offense is on the field, the more likely we are to win."

The emergence of Darrell Mack at running back will surely help the Utes as they try to play ball control offense against the Cardinals.

Last week, the junior rushed the ball 26 times for a career-high 132 yards and a touchdown in a 34-18 win over Utah State. Whittingham expects Mack to take on a much larger role this week against Louisville.

"We will be giving them a heavy dosage of Darrell Mack this week," Whittingham said.

If the Utes can't control the clock, the Cardinals will likely do what they've done this entire season -- score points in bunches. Then all Utah can do is try to keep up.

"They usually win shootouts," Whittingham said. "That's something that's impossible to avoid sometimes when you're playing an offense that's as high-octane as they are. But the ideal situation for us is to not get into a shootout."

I'd like to get Louisville at -14 but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.

Hate being on the opposite side as you. Even though your season hasn't been what you thought it was, I still follow your (multi-unit) picks. Too much telling me to go with Louisville tonight, though.
