if she was going to chop (not not at her cards, and take back her SB) she should have folded blind if you guys were willing to give her her SB.

stinky: Uh what? Please give one reason why this is against the rules or even the conventions of poker. [/ QUOTE ] i'm pretty sure its against the rules in (almost?) every poker room to discuss your actions with another player when you're not the only 2 left in the hand. |

yea, i'm kinda with stinky too. if you're gonna flip somebody, you're better off next to each other and having an agreement to do it when everyone folds to you (you can tell the rest of the table you're doing it, and if they want to fold thats cool with you)
i flipped a dude in kansas city for like 500 at a 2/5 game (the highest game they had). everybody else there was like "wow you guys are sick". i was like yea whatever, busto stakes, and had been cutting the game up hard since everybody else in it just sucked ass. i lost, obv, but it was def two crappy hands against each other. |

I'd care if she wasn't going to chop already. We asked her beforehand, she said she was going to play her hand after his action. My action is dictated by her action. I don't see how this is possibly bad unless you have to assume a blind min 3-bet to a straddle is also against the rules. It's the gash's own [censored] fault she lost the hand. You're just being an overly picky nit with not even a particularly good argument.

made her give away valuable information about her hand. she could have handled it differently but putting her in that spot isn't fair. [/ QUOTE ] Dude, WTF. So now getting valuable information about someone's hand is wrong? We aren't allowed to gather reads? It's not fair that you sit down at a table when you know more about poker than everyone else. Too bad poker isn't about being fair. |

If this were the B&M forum I would say something like:
"Yeah, it's funny, but the problem isn't just discussing your actions with the BB when the SB is left to act, it's actually laughing at her when you suck out on the river, mocking her badly enough that she leaves the table in a huff. Put yourself in her shoes: maybe she gets one trip to Vegas a year, if not less often... she doesn't have live poker anywhere else and maybe has only played twice in her life... she comes to Bellagio and wants to take the game seriously in her brief vacation away from her crappy reception job in Wisconsin... then some cocky d-bag kid starts telling her she has to fold her hand, even if she's been waiting all day for a hand as big as QQ to be able to play in a profitable spot. She plays the hand, gets it in good, then still loses to a miracle gutterball. The guy who beats her, rather than extend any sort of sympathy for her bad beat, laughs maniacally at her predicament and scoops in all the chips. There goes her "fun" trip to Vegas, replaced by a story she tells her family about this prick at the poker table who luckboxed his way into taking her $300 and then rubbed it in her face with his laughter." But it's BBV, so I LOLed and say nh sir. |

Props to the lady for playing it right. It does make for one A+ BBV story though, gotta admit.
