Vyse,
Verducci is better than a lot of guys. Especially for someone who is the head writer of such a mainstream magazine. Also since someone brought Rushin. I think Rushin > Reilly. |

[ QUOTE ] simmons>>>>>>reilly [/ QUOTE ] Apples >>>>>>>>> Oranges [/ QUOTE ] Not really. People shy away way too much to try to compare things. Any two things can be compared. Get it over with. Both suck hard though. |

Reilly says outlandish things in his articles and takes extreme positions to accomplish one of two desired effects:
1) People will think he is profound and want to keep reading; 2) People will think he's a pompous blowhard but will continue to read anyhow. To answer the OP's question, the answer is the people who like Reilly are the ones who intentionally subscribe to SI. This obviously does not represent the majority of free-thinking sports fans. |

i can't take anyone who thinks the articles bill simmons puts in ESPN magazine are even borderline readable seriously. i'm sure if reilly had a blog where he wrote about anything people would think he was funnier.
but no, i dont read his stuff anymore. i like to read about sports from people i think i would have fun hanging out with, and reilly isn't close to that. |
