Re: Ball gets thrown - what to do?

Remember the only double-eagle on a par-4 recorded in PGA history? [/ QUOTE ] It's called an albatross damnit! |

Re: Ball gets thrown - what to do?
The biggest problem here is that they are women. IMO, women get hit into a lot and they probably have a huge chip on their shoulder about it. Their response doesn't surprise me at all.
Next time when women are the group in front of you just be extra cautious. |

Re: Ball gets thrown - what to do?
Why were you putting 60' for par if you drove the green?

[ QUOTE ]
c'mon trev, If I were in front of you, I'd either pocket it, 9-iron it into the woods, or tee it up and send it back. [/ QUOTE ] I suspect 4 linebackers putting out would never see a ball rolling up. Yet we take chances in cases like this... Something to think about. |

Re: Ball gets thrown - what to do?
bk,
He '3' putted from 60' for par. OP, why not let the shorter hitters in your group hit first? |

Re: Ball gets thrown - what to do?
The problem is ladies on the golf course. Seriously I have never seen a lady over 25 on a golf course that could play even semi-competently. Some collective attributes of female golfers include 'slow on long shots, short hitting, slow around the green, deliberate, slow to walk down the fairway with their goofy-ass looking golf cart, has never broken 100, etc'.
Even worse than women are [censored] who white-knight for lousy women golfers. I was playing the 9th hole at a local course last Friday, and I yanked my drive left, onto the adjoining course's 10th hole (they are part of the same 'resort'). My ball stops about 4 yards in front of the ladies tees on the 10th and I have about 50 yards in, which is nice. I'm about 100 yards from my ball when a golf cart stops at the ladies tees and a lady gets out and tees up her ball. She has a pink ball and a bad swing and I have no shelter, so I continue walking towards her because there are some trees to the left of the cart path which should provide some shelter if her drive comes towards me. I get to the trees before her swing and duck behind them. She hits a lousy drive and I walk up to my ball, where her playing partner, some guy 15 years older than her (her dad? creepy-ass boyfriend? it is a mystery), starts lecturing me on how I shouldn't be walking while she was hitting (I'd already moved behind the tree by the time her swing started). He obviously wanted me to apologize or something and was pretty pissed when I told him 'whatever' and went about lining up my lob wedge. I don't have time for some [censored] trying to make me reponsible for his daughter/escort's/girlfriend's [censored] drive when I have a decent score going. |

If I was on that green I woulda stepped on your ball, pinning it nearly flat with the green.
