I utterly hate it from a balancing/game theoretical standpoint ... and from a practical standpoint.

I prefer my opponents to be calling and not folding.

This is soo dumb. Keep playing your marginal hands aggressively and see where it gets you.

I meant to type: I prefer my opponents to be calling, not BETTING ... my mistake

And this is not a marginal imo, it is a piece of trash, it just happened to hit a 9, if it hadn't hit the 9, everybody would be betting ... you are oop, you will never know where you stand and your stack is at risk.

I don't mind cbet/folding here ... or if a read appears, then cbet/3betting or cbet something else.

But honestly, you really think checkcalling oop your stack off with a marginal hand like this is good.

I like setting up my good hands with a bet and get it over with.

It might not be awful (Jam is much better than me), but I don't like it.

But holla ..... perhaps I am outclassed here

haha

even the hands you [censored] up are starting to look like hands i [censored] up

3bet smaller

i will end up making the same mistake you did here the majority of the time, but against an 18/15 you can C/F flop.

and for everyone arguing about postflop, it's totally fine against a non-nit.

betting here is absolutely horrendous against anyone reasonable. i mean, what's your plan? to fold to a raise on this mother of all draw boards? to call a raise and get money from exactly the same hands as you would by c/c'ing but denying him the chance to bluff AK/AQ/22-55?

i dont play on stars but i like hero line post flop, the 3 bet PF is meh/whatever, but post flop betting pretty much only gets called by better made hands or huge draws (eg gutshots+overcards+flush draws etc) so hero can check fold if turn is ugly, but this line allows villian to bluff, i play same.

fishy

c/f just allows him to bluff you off the best hand far too often.

I bet alot for protection, as a semi-bluff if you like, if we get called we're behind, and have to give up unless we hit.

if im checking the flop im calling one bet, but im usually betting. Also, if i c/c flop I'm c/f blank turn.

Kinda jumbled but it's all there i think

Only thing I would do differently is probably 3bet 20-22 preflop vs. 30. On the flop, I don't mind your line as it looks fine. I personally would check/push letting the "maniac/aggro" bluff into me.

3 betting preflop is definitely not standard, even against this opponent. As played pf, I like leading flop and re-evaluating turn. Check calling both flop and turn seems terrible. Without improving, I give up most times on the turn without too much thought

yeah I don't like your 3bet oop.

As played I would bet the flop, but the check is fine.
