Costa Rica is digustingly awesome. I reccomend doing a canopy tour for sure, do an ATV tour as those are pretty intense/cool there, white water rafting is awesome too but you can do that anywhere. Dunno if your plans are totally booked, but Arenal is pretty sick, the cloud forest is really beautiful for a day or two but will get boring for longer than that. If you go up near the Nicoya Pennisula stay at Tango Mar, it's where they filmed temptation island and is sick beautiful.

i cant see being that upset over losing 14k. I was never that upset when i lost 10k 1-2 back in the day( well that was before i lost my roll). If you say you got more money then most pop my roll was only like 140 back then I cant see how this can even be a dent in your armor you'll get over it.
