I try to put in the hours because the more I play, the more/faster capital I'll raise for my future real estate/business ventures, so I can earn my financial freedom asap, and start living it up'

I believe anything you do "JUST" for the money will eventually make you unhappy, I think this is even more true when you do something that's suppose to be a fun game exclusively for the money.

Here's a scary thought, imagine nitty pro ball players.
"Yes I could have dunked it, but I believed the layup had a higher percentage of making the 2 points. Which in turn increased our mathmatical expectations of winning the game by .02%."

- If you enjoy what you do for a living, you never have to work a day in your life. Phil Ivey can afford to never make another cent again, but he loves the game (I assume) so he, like many others, don't look at poker as work or effort. We look at is as enjoyment; the key ingredient to a good life.

If someone handed you $10M, would you seriously never play poker again?

Well, at least I would never seriously play poker again. I mean, I never play the toy chip games on the net sites.

So why would I play for chips that were approaching toy chip status, relative to my BR.

I think it was on this site somewhere that a discussion was held on Bill Gates playing $3/$6 at the Mirage. And noting that on a relative basis it was virtually the same as him playing $3000/$6000 in relation to his BR.

Poker is just not all that interesting when the money doesn't matter as money.

Bridge is better at that point.

I would continue to play at levels that were interesting, but would not jeopardize the lifestyle I would have grown accustomed to.
