Re: Post a Picture and specs of your favorite fish you have caught
60+ Pound Paddlefish caught in Glendive Montana. This is one of about 200 we caught that weekend. I caught this one with a broken/squished thumb after my boat motor tried to take my thumb off!

[ QUOTE ] I wish I had a picture on me. I love to musky fish and my biggest to date is 48" x 23" it was a bit over 30lbs and was caught on 6lb line. BTW, great thread idea! [/ QUOTE ] how long did it take to land and how did it not break the line, were you using a wire leader? [/ QUOTE ] It was kind of a funny story. I had been musky fishing for a few days with a friend and we had missed/seen a lot of fish. We wanted some action so we grabbed our smaller walleye setups and decided to troll small spoons near the weed edges for little northerns. About 3 min in a fish hit my line and we looked back to see a musky jump. We initially thought it was about 20lbs. My friend kept the boat between the weeds and the fish and eventually the fish was in 35 feet of water on the bottom when a storm moved in. It was lightning and raining and we decided I would turn up the drag. Well, an hour later it was in the net. I did have a 3 foot leader on it but it had almost straightened the one side of the treble it was hooked on. I thought maybe it had a shot at a line class record but then I saw 40lbers had been caught on 6lb line. |

Re: Post a Picture and specs of your favorite fish you have caught
Just got back from a week on Isla Mujeres in Mexico. Went out with a local guide for 3 hours and caught 2 Cudas. Was pretty pumped as this was my first time salt water fishing. Here is my lunker. The guide estimated it to be around 28 pounds.

Re: Post a Picture and specs of your favorite fish you have caught
I just got back from another Canadian fishing trip. Nailed this lunker on a Silver Minnow and 10 pound test on a small no-name portage lack north of Lac Seul, Ontario. I didnt take exact measurements but i'd guess he was around 42 inches, 17 pounds. My largest northern yet. He's still swimming...
