Re: Beat: had sleep paralysis this night
It gets batshit scary especially when you're dreaming about ghosts roaming around in your house, doing [censored] to you, etc., and then you "wake up", and you "realize" it is actually true and try to scream as hard as you can, but can't do [censored]. Pretty freaking scared I was.

Re: Beat: had sleep paralysis this night
I only had it once, I was lucky, I dreamt getting bit by some mutant thing, and then I "wokeup" and tried to scream "MOM!" nice, I know. But I couldnt scream. I woke up shortly later and was scared, Im so lucky I didnt imagine some dude standing over my bed or anything.

Re: Beat: had sleep paralysis this night
I used to smoke a lot early in highschool. First time I had this happen was probably a year or two after I graduated. I have never done any other drug. Its happened to me twice so far, its pretty scary, esp the trying to scream part.

Re: Beat: had sleep paralysis this night
[ QUOTE ]
Its no big deal Ive had it many times and never from doing drugs. It seems to happen more often if I am sleeping in a car. ITs just your brain waking up before you body. The first few times it happens it is SOOOOOOO SCARY. You wake up and can not move. When this happens just try to relax and recognize what is going on. You are not going to die just give your body 10-25 seconds to wake up. Its no big deal. It still sucks when it happens but I relize what is going on and I keep my cool much better. I havent had it in about a year or so. It seems like I will get it a few times in a row and then not for a very long time. I wonder why sleeping in the car does that. I have totaly noticed this. It is much more common in the car. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah i already thought, when this happens again it'll probably be a lot less scary if u notice what's going on. But i don't if you're concious enough to figure it out. I know i have somewhere read something about it but didn't think of it when it was happening. |

Re: Beat: had sleep paralysis this night
[ QUOTE ]
I'm not quite sure i understand this. So you are awake, but still think you are dreaming and you cant move or say anything? Just asking because ive never experienced this and it sounds freaky. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, when you dream your brain paralyses your body muscles to protect you. When this happens there is basicly an error occuring while waking up and your muscles keep being paralyzed and you start hallucinating. That's why there is a correlation with drugs and overtiredness. |
