I think if JJ is a dog to his 3bet calling range, and if his raising range is tight enough that you don't routinely 3bet when he opens, then you are probably also a dog to his flop, turn, and river bets.

If he has a wide open range and a ridiculously tight 3b calling range 3-betting seems much much better than calling to me.
