Re: heads up SNG - question i have been thinking about
I don't think the buyin makes that much of a difference. Somebody with REALLY BAD sharkscope stats is really bad, no matter what level they're playing.
At that point, all the level means is how deep their wallet is. Actually, there is one case where the buyin does matter, at least for me. If, in this particular game, I'm taking a shot at a higher buyin than my normal level, then I'm almost certainly going to fold in both cases. Normally, it is more important to me to try to maintain a higher hourly rate, even if it means a lower win percentage in this instance (and I'm willing to take a big cut in percentage for the chance of winning on the first hand). But in this one specific circumstance, it is more important to me to win the one game, because when I'm taking a shot at a higher level, that one game typically represents a more significant portion of my bankroll than normal. |

[ QUOTE ] B.) Fold - if he sucks that bad why call when you could be dominated or 50/50..? outplay the moron later [/ QUOTE ] Because I'd rather have a 55 or 56% chance of winning in 10 seconds than a 60-65% chance of winning in 15 minutes. That's supersimple $EV/hour math. [/ QUOTE ] QFT |
