Villian hits one of his "outs" and shoves thinking he has the best of it? I think this is a very realistic situation. Am I way off?

I see people raise/check-raise trips all the time with little regard to the way the hand played out.

I check behind here 100%. Jim, I dont think that many people call a bet here without a flush. If i bet I expect to win without a showdown or be beaten by a flush. I take the free showdown and hope he didnt have some sort of ace with a rag of spades or some such POS.

[/ QUOTE ] From my experience the check/raise part is pretty typical of these opponents. They hit their hand and say, "well, he's been aggressive all the way through. Why not let him be aggressive one more time so I can get some extra $$ out of it?"
