sorry, I cant find this 5/10 rule in the book, wasn't sure if you meant in the book or on this site? nothing comes up in the search on the site either, can you please post a link or something?

ok i see what your saying now. in this situation no it doesnt because you are only getting roughly 2 to 1 to make the call (not looking back to do the exact calculations but i know they are bad) and if we are against a higher pp then we are a 4 to 1 dog. if this villain had more money the implied odds would be there because if we flop a queen we can get their whole stack.


i thought u meant calling the .50 from the first raise from villain. with this reraise i probably fold because their stack is too short

thanks, I guess I did a good fold then, btw, what odds must I get on my money to justify that call? also I wonder if you still recommend raising 4xBB + 1 for each limper if I had a good but not great hand, like AQ AJ but I wanted to punish the min-raiser?

so why would we do this?

now my original post is saying "as played" id fold. against a shorty with the proper reraise i def put them all in because i will be getting sufficent odds and, while minimal, still some FE from villain to make the push profitable. as played we still have to put in another 9$ for the push while we are only invested for 1. we do have some decent FE and very low implied odds. i feel this is a bit spewy to do against a 3 bet preflop.

what are you talking about?

I am saying that, in general, QQ is above the raising range of most shorties, and that you might as well just get the money in.
