You can have fun winning. A loser who enjoys the game is still a loser.

I was thinking about people who claim to be winners in live games. If you played 50 hrs a week for 50 weeks per year at 25 hands per hour, that's 62,500 hands.

Phil Hellmuth claimed in some poker show that he has never had a losing year in the sidegames. There is also a pretty good chance he's never played more that 20,000 hands in a year.

Not that most of you don't know this, but terrible players can show a profit over small samples like that.

LOL at people being winners. When I first started playing, I claimed to all my friends I was a winner and stopped updating my records as soon as I started losing.

Gaydar is that sense that gay people have that tells them who is likely to be of a similar persuasion - yes?

You'll find one right outside your closet, when you step out of it.

It's the overall run that matters right?

I had to deposit like 5 times at the beginning, but over the year I MADE MORE MONEY THAN I DEPOSITED, means I am a winning player.

Or is someone a winning player who makes 10k+ a month?

A winning player is usually defined as one with a positive long run expectation.

Calling an all in heads up 400 times with AA and losing every single one does not make you a losing player. It makes you an ungodfully unlucky one.
