so he calls river with lots of ace high hands that he never bets if we check to him and he checks all jacks and overpairs on the flop a lot, but does not bet the river with them? just seems like he has to have 77 88 TT here a lot for betting to be right - maybe that's his range.

i think dean puts benyamine on Ax, 33, 55-88, TT hands a lot more than jacks/overpairs, basically hands that have sd value but he wont bet on the river

though he can def have some sort of busted draw, hearts/straight, but id assume hed bet straight draws on the flop, and it seems he doesnt bluff often enough w/missed draws to make a check on the river work

I'd bet a little smaller on the river. As played I'd fold.

I bet pot on the river because 1) it might look like a desperate bluff which, if he wants to bluff, he will have to put a lot more money in and 2) if I bet any less (like say 400) it might look like a blocking bet from a J and thus will make a river raise a really, really tough decision (since I showed weakness).

Anyways, after thinking for a long time I FOLDED since he's put so many bad beats on me (thus thinking I would call him with anything reasonable here) AND plus he's playing much, much lower than usual (thus, he probably thinks we all suck and will call with a lot of decent hands in this spot).

Looking back on it, it looks like the thread agrees that the only thing I beat is a bluff (or a retarded 96 raising for value) and that it is agreed that Benyamine doesn't bluff all that often on the river so whatever.

Maybe I'll meet him one day and he'll tell me what he had.
