Re: Another Caesars Indiana question

Is this casino a boat? [/ QUOTE ] It is a boat. But I somehow get the impression it would flip over, or at the very least sink, if it left shore. |

[/ QUOTE ] Technically, it is two huge barges lashed together which the entire casino is built upon. They are not going to go anywhere, mud has built up around them so they are grounded. |

Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is this casino a boat? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is a boat. But I somehow get the impression it would flip over, or at the very least sink, if it left shore. [/ QUOTE ] It is stable in up to 70 MPH winds. I am confident it is not grounded, CG regulations require it to go to the middle of the river during very severe weather. They start the engines during storms and at other times. Until dockside gambling was approved it made two hour cruises up and down the river. |

Re: Another Caesars Indiana question
Look at a map of the U.S., then look at where you are going. What do you expect to be there? If you want to experience something weird, there is a town nearby, named Lexington Kentucky. If you want to know what U.S. towns looked like back in 1899 or so, drive down some side streets in that town. Welcome to the twilight zone!
[ QUOTE ] I will be heading to Caesars the 1st week of March. What is there to do around the area besides the casino? Can any locals recommend something? I will be with my girlfriend (We are both 21), we usually play 8 to 14 hours of poker in a day when we go to casinos and we get bored easily by pit games. We dont want to play poker all day, every day so I am looking for other suggestions. [/ QUOTE ] |
