Isn't that KK fold kinda standard against Phil Hellmuth? And Gabe Kaplan is getting on my nerves since he obviously has no idea how to play cash games and he always knows the outcome of the hand and says stuff based on what is going to happen.

I missed it, why did Laak turn his hand over when Brunson was still in the middle of his decision? Was he that confident that the hand motion was a call? Just not care at that point?

[/ QUOTE ]

if you watch closely i think todd does the angle shoot thing and pulls his hand back. but then after that he does throw the chips in as a call. its only after that when phil laak turns his hand over and goes on his rant.

[/ QUOTE ]

100% - i looked it over twice to make sure.

I dunno if Laak has ever angled anyone (there are stories, but a story is just that). Todd definately has. I always thought he was a douche, just didnt know why my gut told me so till now.

The KK river bet was a pretty good line thoughout imo.

Also, in that 72s v KK quad hand, how the hell did 72 dude fire that turn for 50 after he called 20 on the flop - not to mention KK guy minraising to 100 with 130 back at that point. Jesus.

Hellmuth owned this episode so hard - i go through stages with him, and right now he is in the "misunderstood genius" stage.

Matusow, constantly broke, only having one buyin, whodaguessed? For the love of baby Jesus your allowed to payoff on that river, especially if your read is "72 or QQ". That guy who sarcastically said he did the quick calculation and worked out he was probably right to fold was so spot on its shocking.

This series truly rules - looking forward to the rest of the season.

Gabe can play, he was playing big cash games 30 years go. Around 1980 i watched him play a $50,000 freeze out with Bobby baldwin, that was at the Silverbird hotel. Gabe won.

I like the todd brunson angle shoot with his fake "call" when he had top pair vs. laak's set. How is that even close to permissable?

[/ QUOTE ]
i was surprised that this didn't get more attention. Phil Laak rightly went on a rant as he should because that move was far from ethical...
