i quit because of all the other engineering classes id have to take, the compsci stuff seemed easy to me. Anyhow i like it better in business, less work, better looking females (females at all), and i might make money.

I'm going to be reformatting my computer, to not lose all of my party poker notes and pokertracker stats, is my best bet to copy the entire program files folder, format, install both programs, then copy over the 'new' program files folders?

I don't know anything about keeping party poker notes. But as far as PokerTracker, all you need to do is make a data base backup and save it to disk/external HDD/whatever. You will have to get a new reg code from PT customer service though.

I am a complete computer retard, and reading the OP makes my eyes bleed a little (not a shot at OP, but rather at my ignorance).

Can anyone explain in laymen terms what this will do for me an/or my comp? Thx.

It will frame the data on your harddrive in such a way that your computer accesses it much faster.
