LOL. At first I thought you were serious.

Yeah, GT is sick good. I've got two friends who are very good at the game. I'm curious where they rank, but I would guess they are around Chuck's level.

yeah, though if you had a lot of sick scores without showing pics like GT1T does, I'm sure someone would get suspicious

For someone who does not play guitar, and doesn't really have an interest in playing guitar, is this a game to pick up? I have played DDR and enjoyed it, so should I pick this up?

I have never played guitar, and I can't get enough of it. This is a great game that everyone can enjoy.

I agree. I have tried playing a real guitar and could never get the hang of it. I playe Guitar Hero 2 and I love it. It makes playing the guitar really fun. Plus, it has a high replayability because you won't be able to do expert right away and it's always fun just to play the guitar when you know you really can't.

My roommate just bought it 2 days ago and I haven't gotten to play it enough. He has to study for finals and so he hasn't played it much today. I want to play it more, but every time I want to play he is busy and wants to study, or we switch on and off. I need to really take some time and go through the practice so that I can practice on the orange button.

Playing Guitar Hero 2 isn't a whole lot like playing guitar. However, a few basic things that come from a guitar make the game easier. Things like getting your pinky to cooperate, forming power chords quickly and switching between them, general rhythm and timing. So a guitar background helps a TINY bit but these arent anything you can't pick up from a little practice in the game.

If you played DDR, then you'll probably enjoy this. Since I started GH2, I tried DDR and love it and I'll probably pick up Beatmania IIDX at some point.

There are "ways" to tell whether you're putting in legit scores or not and there are users who have been banned because of it. Like chuck said, if you're new and putting up sick scores they encourage the posting of pictures/videos with your score submissions. Mods/admins run a pretty tight ship. The forums are great, it's a fun little community, and it adds TONS of replayability if you dig the competition thing.
