Re: 2 days to spend in Chicago -- what should I do??
[ QUOTE ]
I'm gonna be in Chicago at the end of June. Is going to Superdawg Drive-In worth it? Weiner Circle sounds like a place we'll end up after hitting the bars. Speaking of... what time do bars close in Chi-town? Also, we've already looked into Giordanos for pizza... but Gino's and Lou Menaldi's sound damn good as well... we'll try to hit them all, but if you had to choose one spot (not just from these three) where do you go? [/ QUOTE ] This is the holy trinity of pizza. If you like crust go to ginos, if you like awesome sauce go to malnotis. |

Wrigley Field (the team sucks but the bars around it are good)
Taste of Chicago starts on July 1st i believe Navy Pier isn't all that fun I think eat at Ricobene's on 26th, Lou Malnoti's (sp?),Portillo's,Giordano's, Gino's East, Signature Room on the 95th floor of the Hancock, The Rosebud, Cite,Charlie Trotters go to Michigan Ave., go to the Sears tower and look down, yadda yadda Museums are nice, Shed Aquarium is my favorite |

Re: 2 days to spend in Chicago -- what should I do??
never ever go to the sears tower to look out at the city
it costs $ and you have to wait through a movie. the hancock tower has a bar at the top, and is free to ride the elevator to the top, and stuff. personally i ilke pequod's pizza more than ginos or lous, though giordanos will always have a place in my heart. know that if you go to ginos they have corn meal crusts. if you're in to baseball, seeing a game at comisky or wrigley is cool. the art institute is awesome, as is the aquarium, and the field museum has good stuff almost always. there's about a gillion great restaurants/bars to go to. level is, to my knowledge, a vodka lounge. so like, don't go there unless you like paying a ton for vodka. what are you in to? do you like clubs? do you like bars? etc. citanul |

The Art Institute of Chicago!!! [/ QUOTE ] FYI: starting June 3rd, there is free admission on Thursdays and Fridays from 5pm-9pm. If you go to the Art Institute during the day, grab a snack at the Garden Restaurant. The food isn't great but the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. |
