Re: best pound for pound nation of poker players in the world?
Sweden or Denmark.
Big name pros that win donkaments do not affect the 'per capita' rate much. There's a LOT of Scandinavians you have never heard of making huge amounts grinding cash games online, trust me. |

If Scandinavians are the best poker players why do I wake up at 2am just to play them.
If Americans are the best players , why is it harder for people to make money since the Americans passed their laws. |

[/ QUOTE ] The point is there will always be a certain proportion of a particular nations players that are bad. There were so many Yanks online back at the peak, of which a good amount were terrible that it appeared that all Yanks were terrible. Not true of course although I do maintain that they had the highest proportion of donks due to greater disposable income, culture of playing poker etc. |

[/ QUOTE ] The US is a very large country where people who live above the poverty line have computers and high speed internet. When the Americans passed there laws the player pool in general took a hit. There really is very little doubt that the US contains a higher percentage of winning players than any other country in the world. |

Re: best pound for pound nation of poker players in the world?
cause its still easy for scandanavian fish to deposit and its hard for american fish to deposit thats the bottom line.
the average american online player is probably the best (online only) but its only because the americans left playing are more inclined to be winners. germans are probably the worst in my opinion but its mostly because its the hot new fad there, its a fairly wealthy country and its easy to deposit. |
