It also blows my mind that Mularkey (the former TE) and Whisenhunt (also a TE) used the TE less than Arians (the college QB) has/has promised. For a QB like Ben, proper TE utilization will be huge.
We have two good TE's. This year's going to be fun. |

Lol the only reason I can think of to worry is if your fantasy opponent has Parker. It's gonna be ugly. [/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't get ahead of ourselves. Watching one of your teammates losing the ability to walk for life is a pretty big deal. Buffalo could be seriously fired up. |

[/ QUOTE ] That reminds me...a bad Jets team in 1992 pulled a stunning upset in Buffalo after Dennis Byrd was tragically hurt (as a result the Bills didn't get homefield & had to smoke the Steelers in 3Rivers in the playoffs ). But yah, I don't see it. Emotion really only has an effect on the defense, where the Bills are ridiculously undermanned. The best player on the front 7 is a rookie MLB. They have a 3rd string OLB starting because the 2nd stringer who was a career backup safety & recently converted to LB got injured. Oh and you can move their DL with a leaf blower. Hope you're right though! |

Really solid performance all around. Kickoff coverage was pretty weak, but Mcgee is a top notch returner, so could just be that.
Also seeing the worst team in football score 51 on Cincy is promising. |

Re: ***Official 2007 Pittsburgh Steelers Thread***
kickoff coverage was sorta weak, but remember on the long return he had his entire foot out of bounds and didn't get called.
really well played game. aside from the early pick, ben looked SHARP. he's really proving that last year was an aberration due to the extended time off from the accident and appendix removal. he never really got comfortable. now he's just on top of everything and playing well. i'm really impressed by pittsburgh on a whole, even though buffalo's offense was pretty pathetic aside from lynch. |

Re: ***Official 2007 Pittsburgh Steelers Thread***
i definitely believe the steelers have returned to 2004-2005 form. remember, they were 15-1 in 2004, big ben's rookie season, and then super bowl champs in 2005.
this is a very solid core group that is a great team. |

Mike Tomlin inspires confidence in me.
After the way the first half went down, I would have been seriously worried had William Laird Cowher been involved. |
