I thought I was the only person who had to do this too tbh. A lot of the time I close it I cant even reopen it unless I close it in the task manager.

My sound used to cut off after 30 min or so. I found the answer in this thread. I fire up Itunes, and turn its sound all the way down. I did not lose sound tonight. I did get some lag for a few minutes, then the sound kinda freaked out and then was smooth again for the rest of the session. I played about 3 hours tonight without losing sound.

BTW. I did all the driver fixes and direct x reinstallation from the other thread and nothing worked before this.
