Dudd,
I was at this game too as was 2+2 poster Victor.
Man was it freaking cold.

For the record, I was not at this game, just posting the no hitter wiki since he couldn't remember the details. Most I've ever seen is probably 5-6 innings at some random minor league game, nothing really memorable.

A guy threw a no-no on the last game of the year during my freshman season in college. I wasn't playing, I was on the bench, and this kid SUCKED and was like 29 years old and became the head coach of our team like 4 years later. And he was a douche. But it was a pretty awesome day.

I have been to one MLB game, it was Royals vs. Rangers in 95 or so. Kevin Appier pitched a one hitter and lost, the one hit was a homer and they lost 1-0.

I was lucky enough to be at Fenway on Apr 27th, 2002. Got to see Derek Lowe pitch a no hitter vs the D-Rays. Game wasn't that exciting, Sox won 10-0, until the last 3 innings when the crowd started to really get into it, knowing what was happening.

Only hit should have been an error.

The Mets have 0 no-hitters in their history and 3 games where the hit has been contested by fans. There is another one Doc threw on a play Ray Knight didnt make peopel bitch about. I feel both were correctly scored as hits.

However there is a game NO ONE ever talks abotu where Glendon Rusch through 8 1 hit innign sBenitez pitched a hitless 9th. The hit Ruch gave up WAS AN ERROR 100% no questions ask. I cannot comprehend why it was scored a hit.

At a Cubs game back in '04 I think. Mark Prior came off the DL in like mid-June and I went with a few friends to the game. He was perfect into the 5th inning, but then gave up a hit. Cubs ended up losing 2-1 to the Pirates when Joe Borowski blew it in the ninth.

I threw a no-hitter my freshman year in high school, but it was one of the 5 inning slaughters (we won 12-0). Then, my sophomore year I only started one game all year, and it was against the same team. I took a no-no into the 5th again when the #8 hitter snuck a single through the hole. They scored 2 unearned runs off of a few walks and some crappy fielding errors, so it was weird to have not given up a hit and still have given up runs.

Kind of funny thing about that game? Easley, Lo Duca, Delgado, Mota, and Castillo all played for the Marlins in that game. All are currently on the Mets now.

And the only starter from the Marlins in that game that is still on the team is Cabrera.
