I have replied to 2 posts since reading this, so thanks, it may have been the motivation I needed.

I'm definitely going to be trying this.

I have gotten more willing to post to threads over time. But I tend to try to say something only if nobody else has already said it. I'll even write up a long detailed response, then cancel if someone else has said what I'm going to say while I was writing.

So from now on I'll (usually) try to respond to threads without looking to see if I'm being redundant. And I'll try to respond to more threads, even if I think what I'm saying is obvious - or better yet if I think I may be wrong.

I've noticed the same thing. There has been a very concentrated effort to improve the signal:noise ratio in micros lately, and I really think its helping. Much of the time, I think the ratio is better here than in SS. Micros is a better forum than it was just 1 month ago.

I like to think I try and do my part. However if a thread has a ton of replies, I usually try and reply to the replies in order to avoid repeating advice that has already been given. Lots of times I don't really jump in unless I have something useful to say, cause I don't want to be that "Fold PF" guy [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I do admit to repeatedly hitting F5 and trying to get in on threads before anyone else does though [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I try to do this on every hand post I reply to, although I might not do it 5 times a day. I always read the other replies after. In fact I'm doing the same with this one even though it's uncalled for. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
