if your flop bet is only called by a better hand, why bet the flop?

Spend the bets and enjoy the pot. He is only calling you here even if he does have AK cause that's what they do, and if that is so, you only have lost a few bets since you only have played a few hands(Rock image)in 2 hours(plus some blinds)

This is nuts. Maybe I'm completely out of line, but I must say I think your range for this villian is too tight. He has only called preflop and called the flop, and you're terrified. Are you that certain he won't play KQs or KJs against a raise? Absolutely dead certain he'd never peel with QQ or AQs?

Bet out here until he plays back. If he doesn't play back, MAYBE you can check the river and try to show down cheaply. There are tons of reasonable hands a tight player could have here, all but one of which you're ahead of. He's given you no indication that he has AK, but you're certain enough of your read that you're prepared to fold (FOLD!) trip kings with second best kicker.

Hand reading is important, but you need to avoid settling on a single holding without more information. If the player is so unbelievably tight he doesn't ever give you any more info, rejoice in knowing he'll also never charge you the max when you're behind.

I'm curious why the OP even wasted our time with this hand, since he's going to eventually tell us that the rock did, in fact, have AK, and that he called him down despite knowing that he was beaten.

I don't think you can have a good enough read on this guy after just two hours (70-80 hands, max) to put him on AK and nothing but AK. If I were wearing my frilliest skirt that day I MIGHT find it in me to bet, bet, c/c the river. But c/f when he's done nothing but call is out of the question.

I don't get this either.
You have trip Kings!
I keep betting until I encounter resistance.

So you put this guy EXACTLY on the 4 combos of AK? MUBS much?

I don't care if this guy is the nittiest of nits!

You telling me that he is folding TT-QQ here? If he just calls the flop, there is no way anyone is going to stop me from betting the turn unless someone has stole all my chips! Even then I am finding a way to still bet something even if it is my watch or shoe.

If he raises the turn, then I start to think about what he may have.
