Re: thought experiment
The answer is obvious. How does this qualify as a thought experiment?
If there was very little hope of defeating the aliens then I wouldn't fight and I'd think anyone that did fight was stupid and immoral. |

Re: thought experiment
[ QUOTE ]
Ghandi covered this a long time ago: I beg you to accept that there is no people on Earth who would not prefer their own bad government to the good government of an alien power. He was also a pedophile, though. [/ QUOTE ] He slept next to girls to test himself, IIRC. Haven't heard anything about him having sex with underaged girls. |

Re: thought experiment
Oh yea, even if I did join the Alien Resistance Force, I wouldn't car bomb my fellow Americans every day and claim I was fighting the Aliens.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] cite your source. [/ QUOTE ] couldnt stay away from the moronacy huh. these polls come from The state dept. The Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland, world public opinion.org and many many others. [/ QUOTE ] This is seperate from your OP, so I felt it was justified. The poll finds that 78 percent of Iraqis reject violence against coalition forces, although 17 percent a sixth of the population call such attacks "acceptable." One percent, for comparison, call it acceptable to attack members of the new Iraqi police. -ABCnews poll Overall, two out of three Iraqis (66%) believe that the recent parliamentary elections were free and fair. Approximately the same number (68%) say that the government to be established by the newly elected Parliament will be the legitimate representative of the Iraqi people. -worldpublicopinion Naturally one of the most interesting questions is how Iraqis feel about the presence of US-led forces. Iraqis are sharply divided, with 49 percent favoring an early withdrawal and 49 percent favoring US-led forces remaining until Iraq is stable. If the new Iraqi government asks the forces to stay, support for doing so rises only slightly, to 53 percent. -worldpublic opinion Are you just making [censored] up off the top of your head or what? [/ QUOTE ] yay! lets get in a poll battle. ill just use your cite...only 50% want us there at best. not exactly greeted as liberators. |

Re: thought expirement
Im using your sources, the ones that you pointed me too, the ones that you just made up random numbers for and I guess assumed no one would check on (except ABC news). Im just pointing out the bias you have, just like every other lib that cant accept facts and half the time just make shitt up. Im going to venture and say that if you posed this alien question to a more representative cross section of the population, more iraqis would want the US in there, than more americans would want aliens, and I doubt it would be close.

Re: thought experiment
quids: I normally would have done some moderating of your posts in this thread, but your excellent use of "moronacy" has earned you a pass.
All: Carry on. |
