You guys aren't serious here are you??? Surely getting AI with AK here is super standard. If he's played AA/KK slow or flopped quads (or sucked a house on the turn) then he's getting paid. I also think I have to take my chances with 5x. I can certainly see merit in just calling the turn raise but I figure he's probably making the raise (foolishly) with K10-KQ and would call AI with those hands for his remaining stack.

He was playing with those decks they used on the first day of the WSOP and thought he had suited 99.

A major leak in NLHE is not carrying a bluff through to it's logical conclusion.

I think villain makes a typical value-call after a semi-bluff with his flopped pair, backdoor flush, quads and full-house draws. Unfortunately, so-called hero somehow managed to dodge a lot of bullets. An ordinary poker tragedy where the wisdom of math is punished by the impudence of a gambler. No regrets.

Note: joyofpoker, I'm looking forward to read more on your lessons. Please keep on posting, you have opened our eyes to the esoteric concepts of poker.
