To the OP:

Your assumption is totally contradicted by Bush Junior. I mean he really does look out of place on any podium, let alone the world stage. He should stick to be a hand on his ranch for which he is well suited photogenically. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

His main opponent was Al Gore, who not only looked just as foolish as Bush, but was also less "commoner-friendly", and also marred by the Clinton sex scandals.

Gore still to this day seems very weird to me. Bush may come across as an idiot, but at least he doesn't speak like Billy Bob Thornton in "Slingblade" (sort of).
