Obviously, the best play would have been to make a big bet or push after the flop and put the pressure on him but I can see why you chose your line. He has just made a nice bet that takes away alot of FE on any check-raise.

I can't begin to imagine why this is "obviously" the best line. All it does is allow him to play perfectly against me, folding any AK hands that whiffed, and calling with any overpairs or sets.

I would fold PF a fair bit here (you're kinda close to set flopping odds and I know I'm gonna lose a bit more postflop when JJ's the 2'nd best overpair...meh, it's close although I call most of the time) and check/fold the flop a lot, too.

You almost always have an average of 10 outs here to all but the most stupid LAGs and aren't getting odds to draw, end of story. If I call it's because a big stack helps too much to pass up or because I've seen him be really dumb.

What I mean was if you are going to get it all-in anyway, it would have been better to be the one making the big move. That way, if he does have QQ, KK or AA, he would at least have to spend some time thinking about making that call. It's not the best flop for those hands. I certainly don't think it's the best play overall but it appears that the HERO has gotten all the chips in anyway, so he may as well be the one dictating the play.
