Re: Comps at the Wynn (and/or Vegas in general)
Brag: I was informed by a casino host at the Wynn that I was in the negative 4 figures on my comp balance.
Beat: I lost $12K at blackjack last trip. Variance: BUT I STILL WON???? |

Re: Comps at the Wynn (and/or Vegas in general)
[ QUOTE ]
I usually play 1/2 with $5 chips and I found the 1/3 game played noticably smaller. While I'm use to $10-$20 preflop raises the 1/3 game had standard preflop raises to $9-$15. [/ QUOTE ] It depends on the table. I've been in some that had small opening raises like that, but most of them opened from $15 to $25. Or $24 I guess. |

Re: Comps at the Wynn (and/or Vegas in general)
I made my first trip to the Wynn over the Thanksgiving holiday. I asked the floor several comp related questions, so my info ought to be pretty up to date.
I got a red card immediately at the window next to the cashier at the back of the room. They told me that once I booked 20 hours of time I would be comped. During play, lots of regulars ordered sandwiches at the table and a few told me that they always did so and never worried about balances. They assumed that you had free meals at the table. I asked again at the front desk and was told that I had 18 hours at that moment, and that when I hit 20 I should come back to the desk and have them "register" the comp. I suspect that as a new player, you have to do 20 hours there to qualify for comping priveleges. Having crossed that barrier, they get very liberal with the comps. At least I hope so for when I return. I did go down to the coffee bar around the corner and got a ten dollar sandwich, a six dollar bag of chips and a four dollar coke.... I didn't try to order at the poker table before I finished the 20 hours. You might try it to see if that will work. Next time I will definately do the tableside ordering. Wynn is a really nice room. Personnel are friendly and efficient. Have a good time! |

Re: Comps at the Wynn (and/or Vegas in general)
so if i want a buffet comp, is there any way to get a paper version of these via a tip?
i've never played there, and will likely hit the 20 hour threshold a couple hours before leaving |

Re: Comps at the Wynn (and/or Vegas in general)
I'm not really a germ-a-phobe but I can't handle eating at the table. It disgusts me.
Edit: I mean I personally can't handle it, but I don't care if other people do it. At least people with basic social skills that don't goo up the cards. |

Re: Comps at the Wynn (and/or Vegas in general)
I asked for a buffet comp, pretty sure they would say no, and they were very nice and gave it to me no problem, etc. I was so pleased, and headed down without looking at it twice. Turned out to be a line card! But it's a nice room, and I think becoming 'known' even over just one weekend would help.

Re: Comps at the Wynn (and/or Vegas in general)
By line card you mean it gets you to the front and you still have to pay? Or you get to the front and get it free?
