I cant imagine a TAG giving this kind of speech. I would bet/fold.

Re: canterbury riverspot
If this guy's really a TAG, I don't even think I like the turn raise. What's he calling 3 in the SB with and C/Ring on the flop that you beat? KQ should really be a fold preflop (maybe KQs?), and if he won't cap JJ or QQ, I don't see him C/Ring those hands on the K-hi flop. It looks like he has AK or a set the vast majority of the time. I'd just call the flop raise and the turn bet.
When you raise the turn and get 3-bet, it's even more definite that he has a set. I can't imagine him 3-betting the turn with one pair and I think just folding would be the best play. Unless he's overplaying AK, you're behind and likely drawing dead. If you do decide to call, the river has to be a check. You've already narrowed his range down to either a set or a really unlikely AA, AK, or KT. KT's the only one you beat and if he called preflop with that, he's definitely no TAG. The much more likely options are that he's got a set and is trying to check/raise, or that he's really confident you have AA from your turn raise and is actually looking to c/c you with a set. You're behind way too much to bet here. |
