Re: [NL200]AA line ok?
As for the hand itself, everyone summed it up already.
Bet/bet/bet is standard. c/r flop against a real aggro/stealy opponent is okay sometimes. After flopped checked through I'd prefer a larger bet on the turn to set up a bigger river bet. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] jec, It's a reraised pot, a safe board, we have AA and we've under represented our hand. Also a set would have bet the flop with about 90% frequency. Folding here isn't anything like on the agenda. Now plz for the sake of your development as a player never use the phrase 'felting one pair' again because it's meaningless. One pair can be a monster and a straight can be garbage. [/ QUOTE ] Please don't patronise me with phrases like "for the sake of your development". I understand that the board is "relatively" safe, but are you telling me there isn't a single hand in villain's range that beats us (99,JJ is possible, while unlikely). Fair enough if the OP was betting 3/5 of pot as a trap but I was just questioning if that was the case as he didn't explain whether this was his reasoning. I also don't consider any 1 pair hand an instacall (which to me was what was being implied) regardless of situations where it is a monster (rarely - for anyone who bothers to think while playing). [/ QUOTE ] Hey before you start flaming, realize that Jam. is one of the most experienced/respected posters on this board. It's jack[censored] like you that push away some really great posters. If you are here to get better open up your mind to the fact that you really probably don't know everything there is about the game. Advice in the thread is goot.... |

jeccross - Swallow your pride, and don't hate on good advice. Jamougha is correct and you are 100% wrong. [ QUOTE ] I also don't consider any 1 pair hand an instacall (which to me was what was being implied) regardless of situations where it is a monster (rarely - for anyone who bothers to think while playing). [/ QUOTE ] This is ridiculous. [/ QUOTE ] I'm sorry, can you tell me where I am wrong? I suggested a bigger bet on the turn which is what alot of people have already said (altho noone actually offered reasoning). Underbetting the turn to try and get a raise out of the turn is a braver play and obviously one you should try if you are comfortable with the villain raising. I didn't think this was the reason the OP made underbet so I was just questioning his motive for the 3/5 bet, isn't it good to get people to think throught their reasoning. I did object to the patronising tone used by Jam however and the general attitude you get from some people that number of posts -> more skill which is not always true. I also did not appreciate his original criticism as it contained no analysis of the reasoning behind the criticism which isn't very helpful to anyone. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone, after all I was just trying to inspire a discussion. |

Re: [NL200]AA line ok?
I'll occassionally (but rarely) check this flop, but if I do I'm betting enough on turn to push river.
