id say, high stakes volatility and writing ability in that order make blogs the most compelling but given that there exist so few real high stakes blogs, id say its the writers ability to tell a story thats most important

Shaniac's blog (www.shaniaconline.blogspot.com, I think) is far and away better than any of the ones touted above in this thread, at least from my five-minute skim. Most of the blogs above demonstrate poor writing and little insight, in my view.

Bluescouse's blog is amazing because he puts his entire roll at risk every time he plays. You never know whether the next update will see him losing 80% of it or increasing it five-fold. Just recently he took £90,000 savings and over a week lost most of it, falling down to £20,000. It seemed inevitable that his next post would announce he had nothing left - but no, suddenly he had a big win and was up to £55,000. Then another big win, and suddenly he's up to £125,000. He plays $50-$100 up to £100-£200 blinds heads up, sometimes playing like an idiot and sometimes seemingly playing well. He is clearly a sick degenerate gambler with massive tilt problems and no interest in bankroll management. So it's amazing reading; you really feel like his life is on the line. But it's only money, he doesn't seem to care a great deal, which is why he wins and losses so much. If you read back through the archives you'll see he's been through the same £1,000 to £150,000 to busto cycle several times already. He is the ultimate spin-up and spin-down merchant. I hope he moves onto Full Tilt!
