Re: gardening log
[ QUOTE ]
My pothos at work is just explodin', man, explodin'. It's getting new leaves almost daily. Nepthytis and philodendron are probably ready to take into work. Interesting story: I was doing a home visit at work, and we started talking about her houseplants. As I left, she tore off two pieces of a Christmas cactus on her dinner table. I was like "whoa, what're you doing?" She told me to plant them for my girls. Which I did tonight, actually. [/ QUOTE ] orly? |

Re: gardening log
Nepthytis into work.
Golden Pothos just grows constantly- I swear I can hear it rustling behind me. Watered one of the peace lilies- it perked up after an hour or so. I'm getting a better sense of how much water they need now. Taking the repotted philodendron and sans (sansevieria hohnii, to be exact) in to work tomorrow. After that, I have no new plants! Now what? |

Re: gardening log
Grow stuff like tomatoes. That way you can still grow your precious plants and have fresh tomatoes for your taco bell meals you order at lunch time.

Re: gardening log
My question was very clear:
'That corpse you planted last year in your garden, 'Has it begun to sprout? Will it bloom this year? 'Or has the sudden frost disturbed its bed? 'Oh keep the Dog far hence, that's friend to men, 'Or with his nails he'll dig it up again! 75 'You! hypocrite lecteur!—mon semblable,—mon frère!' |

[/ QUOTE ] Are you talking about uncle steve, who we buried under the shed last year? It was an accident, he slipped down the stairs after one to many vodka gimlets. Abigail heard his neck break clear in the parlor. What, with the kids depending on us and Ma's recent turf battles with the MS 13, we couldn't rightly go to the police, could we? Besides, Steve always was pretty butch. He loved working with his hands, almost as much as he loved the odd hitch hiker or a burly long-hauler leading a double life. Here's to ya, Steve! Hit that bong up there with the Big Guy! |

Re: gardening log
transfer from home to work is complete! The philo from home looks a tad yellow...but the soil was still pretty damp, so no watering at this time.
My lucky money tree is starting to look a bit beat- put it in a sunny office for the weekend. Watered the other peace lilly and my first philodendron. The latter needs to be repotted soon, I'll get to it after I return from Seattle. Bought another of those damned lucky bamboos. I had no intention of buying anything today, but it was sooo cute sitting there at Safeway, in it's cute little pot. It was all dry and I gave it a little drinkie poo when I got back to the office. |
