[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] BTW, I raise this flop with ATC until he shows me that his weak leads are strong like he has done in this hand. [/ QUOTE ] I'm confused... what exactly is weak about his lead? He just lead a pot-sized bet into you. To be strong does he have to overbet? I think if you're raising every person who donkbets into you with ATC, that's going to be very noticeable and easily exploitable. [/ QUOTE ] Weak lead is the lead at the pot oop into the pfr in my mind, and the vast majority of the time they're bet folding. Practically no one in the micro's ever leads oop with a strong hand into the pfr... [/ QUOTE ] I lead my strong hands probably 80% of the time hoping to be raised. Betting your strong hands is the new slowplay. |

Ok,
I figured this is a basic hand, then i pondered on it - Non nut flush draw, GSD is our only "nut" and we're deep. So are we happy to raise big, call push(or push over ourself). |

Standard raise on the flop and I don't even care about villains range with a hand like that
a) We have a lot of equity unless he has a set, even if he has a set will still have equity b) Must raise these draws to get more action when we raise the same flop with a set (basically, play SC and PP that hit the same way) c) We can take the pot right there or we can usually decide between taking a free card or taking another shot at the pot d) It plants a subtle seed of "don't cbet 2 flush boards" vs weakish villains wich can be exploited later I might reconcider if villain is a good player but even if he RRs getting it AI on this flop is not a disaster. The more you can get in on the flop the better. A blank on the turn kills our equity and lots of players make the mistake of pushing this on the turn after a blank (desperation bluff mainly) |

you're deep, why shove? Isn't he going to fold to a PSB just as often?
Just as important, if you miss, you may have bought yourself a free card. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah you do, as do I, especially against some of the midstakes players at my uni, since they always see it as weakness till they see something else. But the fish generally won't, and those that do, I think i have noted (tiny player base at crypto) |

AZ player, I think you need to remove the lower unsuited Ax hands here. However you still certainly have enough equity to reraise and call a push.

Sorry, I didn't realise we were over 100BB, my bad.
That makes this a fairly standard call or as kolo suggested, min-raise (or near min-raise) |
